HIGHLIGHTS OF THE ANNUAL CREDIT PLAN 2016-17

The guidelines of priority sector were last revised by RBI on 1st July 2015. Now Medium Enterprises, Social Infrastructure and Renewable Energy will form part of priority sectors, in addition to the existing categories. The distinction between direct & indirect agriculture is also dispensed with w.e.f 01.07.2015. The Annual Credit Plan for FY 2016-17 is prepared as per new guidelines of the Priority Sector.

Total Plan of agriculture for financial year 2016-17 is Rs. 13802 crore more than the previous year.
Total plan of Priority Sector lending for current financial year is Rs. 20100 crore more than the previous year, which is 22.58% more than previous year target.
Overall Credit Plan for financial year 2016-17 is Rs. 113139 crore, which is 21.34% more than the previous year.
Target of Priority Sector for FY 2016-17 is 36.74% more than the previous year performance in terms of disbursement.
