BANKING NETWORK

• The branch network in the State increased from 7029 in March 2015 to 7143 in December 2016. Of the total branches, 2615, 2250 & 2278 branches in rural, semi urban and urban areas respectively. As on 31.12.2016, there were 47 Commercial Banks, 3 Regional Rural Banks, 2 Payment Banks, 1 State Co-operative Bank, 4522 Primary Agriculture Credit Societies (PACS) and 38 District Central Co-operative Banks (DCCBs) in the State.
• As on 31st December 2016, there are 8958 ATMs installed in the State. Out of which 7747 ATMs are installed by Public Sector Banks and 1211 ATMs are installed by Private Sector Banks.
